It’s May along the nature coast and the fishing is RED HOT!!
This time of year is a lot of fun and we have a number of different options when it comes to species to target.

On the inshore side, the snook are making their way to their summer spawning grounds and are schooling up in large numbers. The Redfish bite has remained strong on the outer islands of St Martins Keys. Look for moving water and the mullet schools to find the redfish. Pinfish and live shrimp have been the keys to success.

Speckled trout fishing on the offshore shoals and bars has been pretty good, but will continue to slow as the water temps rise and they head offshore to their summer haunts.

On the nearshore side the cobia migration is in full swing!
We have been seeing consistent numbers of fish in anywhere from 10-25 feet of water on rock piles and ledges. Live pinfish on a bottom rig as well as freelined have been the ticket. Don’t forget the cobia size limit is NOW 36” to the fork!

The fishing is great, so give us a call and let’s go fishing!
